UNODC ROMENA / Mentor Arabia

In 2008, UNODC ROMENA organized a regional consultation to reach consensus on a large project about prevention, treatment, rehabilitation, outreach, substitution treatment for opioid dependence, drug use, HIV prevention and care in prison settings. In collaboration with Mentor Arabia, a school based prevention initiative was launched with the aim of adapting through a large consensus, disseminate and evaluate through a cluster randomized controlled trial the Unplugged program in countries of Middle East and North Africa.

The countries involved are Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan, UAE, Morocco, Kuwait.
