Mentor Unplugged / IKEA Social
Initiative
Mentor Unplugged/IKEA Social Initiative aims to adapt, pilot,
implement and evaluate Unplugged in 5 countries from Central and Eastern Europe
to ascertain if the programme could be successfully adapted and had similar positive
impact to different countries and cultures. The countries involved are Croatia,
Kyrgyzstan, Lithuania, Romania and Russia.
Mentor Foundation is managing and supporting this development through partnering with identified
organisations in each of these countries.
The project will last 3 years (2008-2010) and will include the following main activities:
- adaptation of the program;
- training of trainers and teachers;
- conduction of randomized controlled trial with baseline and follow-up survey;
- analysis, reporting and dissemination of results on effectiveness.
